It commemorates the 100th anniversary (centennial) of the Statue of Liberty, celebrated from 1886 to 1986. 
The bowl features gold trim and a central motif of the Statue of Liberty's torch. 
It includes a line from the poem "The New Colossus" by Emma Lazarus, which is inscribed on a bronze plaque inside the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty. 
The text reads in part, "GIVE ME YOUR TIRED, YOUR POOR, YOUR HUDDLED MASSES YEARNING TO BREATHE FREE". 
The bowl was manufactured around 1985.
