This is a vintage blue and white Currier & Ives decorative plate titled "The Old Homestead in Winter". 
The plate features a transfer design depicting a traditional winter scene with a barn and a house. 
It is often rimmed in gold. 
These plates were typically made in Japan, possibly from the 1960s era. 
They were generally intended for decorative purposes rather than serving food.
